- Diverse Sourcing: Vacancies must be posted across open, accessible platforms to reach diverse candidate pools.
- Anonymized / Blind Screening: Candidate personal details (such as name, photo, age, address, and gender) must be stripped from resumes prior to initial HR screening to prevent unconscious bias.
- Structured Interviewing: All candidate interviews must follow a standardized structure, asking the same predetermined, job-specific questions to every applicant for a given role.
- Panel Evaluations & Objective Rubrics: Candidates must be evaluated by a diverse interview panel using standardized scoring rubrics. Panelists must record scores independently before debriefing.
- Equitable Compensation Practices: Initial pay offers must be tied directly to established internal salary bands for the role. SkillsUp will not request or consider prior salary history during hiring to prevent carrying over historic wage disparities.
- Applicant Accommodations: Candidates with disabilities or specific access needs may request reasonable accommodations at any stage of the recruitment process (e.g., adaptive assessment formats or accessible interview channels).
5. Gender Pay Equity & Equal Compensation Framework
SkillsUp enforces a strict approach to equal pay for equal work and work of equal value:

- Annual Gender Pay Audits: SkillsUp conducts annual compensation reviews across all departments to identify, correct, and eliminate any gender-based pay gaps or unexplainable wage disparities.
- Discretionary Pay Oversight: Bonusing, merit increases, and financial rewards must be benchmarked against objective performance KPIs to prevent bias or favoritism in discretionary pay decisions.
